I've removed the assembly and have the brass bushings. I'm just curious what is the preferred method of welding? I was told by a local 9sec dsm'er to cut the threads off and just have it welded? I've seen pictures of people welding with the nut still on. I thing you would get a much better weld with the threads cut off. The only issue with that is not getting the assembly very tight. There is a brass spring clip that sits behind the master cylinder arm (the part that wears out) I'm assuming I'd have to loose that? Any advise is appreciated.
