Ok so I was driving today and I revved up my engine and then let out the clutch and took off so I started boosting through all gears and then after I stopped I turned around and hit the gas again and the turbo pressure kind of went slow to the halfway mark (i don't have a boost gauge yet :ohdamn:) so I tried flooring it and the rpm's went up but it acted as if there as no turbo like it turned off. It was really weird. After I got home the car was off for maybe 5 minutes and I had to leave again so I got back in and checked to see if it was doing the same thing and then this time it boosted fine like nothing had happened. This has happened one other time before, in a race :(, but other than that it's always ran fine. Does anyone know what this was caused by or if I should be worried about this? Thanks :)

No boost leaks at all. I just checked today and tightened everything up. I do regular boost leak tests about once every 2 weeks. And yeah I know I need a gauge. I just don't have money to get one right now :(

So even if the clutch is bad it would only happen every once in a while? I mean it shifts fine and it still drives like a normal car instead of a turbocharged vehicle. And it's only happened twice. Once a month ago maybe and then today. It returns to normal after about 5 mins of just sitting and not having the accelerator touched.

Ok. I plan to do that sometime in the future. What is a good gauge to get that isn't going to cost tons of money? I see Autometer is popular but are there other gauges that work well that are inexpensive?

An Autometer vac/boost gauge is only $45.00. Thats pretty inexpensive for something that is going to accurately relay boost and vaccuum information to you.

Are they? Hmm... I must not be looking in the right place then because when I search for them I get $70-$80 for one.
