Well, I'm not exactly sure when the car started doing this, but it has been for a while. Basically, from 0-30 i have decent acceleration. Once i reach about 55 getting close to 60 if i try to increase speed at all, all that happens is i hear the turbo spool, but the engine rpm's don't go above 3500 rpm....If i floor the pedal, the rpms shoot up to 7000 and i hit full boost. It makes no sense to me. I know that some people have had this problem in the past because i have come across reading about it in the forums, i tried to do a search and came back with nothing. So I'm just wondering if anyone has had this problem or has any idea what it is? I am running with no cat right now, could this have anything to do with it. I am replacing the turbo, and putting in a walbro and some 550's, but I'm not sure if thats really even gonna fix the problem...later

Sounds like the clutch is slipping, does it only do this in higher gears?

Try to feather your clutch when pulling away does it feel "jumpy" or "harsh"? The RPM's without boost is your clutch clipping and not fully enguaging. You should replace it with an ACT 2100/2600 or SPEC stage 3/6 puck now. :thumb:

yeah, sorry for not specifying. Its an auto :( :sosad: .....so its not the clutch slipping. It isn't my tranny though because it shifts fine, the rpms stay constant during shifts and i really cant complain about it even though its a POS chrysler transmission. so yeah any other ideas????

ty doug ill most definitely look into it, i was planning on buying the rebuild kit from ipt at one point but im going to sell this car evntually so theres really no reason to go to crazy with it.
