Hello all. My name is Rob and I am a moderator from the 4G61t.org forums. I've asked the question there and most people seem to point toward the ISC as a solution to my problem but I want a second opinion.

The car is a 1992 Plymouth Colt with a built 92 6 bolt turbo engine. Mods are:
Evo 8 pistons
Evo 3 cams
1G big rods
ACL bearings
ARP main and head studs
Cometic HG
BS Removal
19c Turbo
2G Manifold
Cyclone Dual Runner Intake Manifold
SAFC
Full 3" turbo back exhaust

Basically what is happening is when I'm moving and I push my clutch in my idle drops and almost always stalls the car. But sometimes it'll bounce back and forth between 500 and 1000 RPM...but only when the cars coasting either with the clutch pushed in or in neutral. When the car is sitting at a stop sign or red light the idle smoothes out and returns to around 750-800 RPM. It only does it when the car is at operating temperature. I'm totally stumped about this. Anybody have any ideas? I've read probably 50 posts about idle surge but every one that I've read is about a car doing it all the time. My car only does it when coasting. It's annoying...

hey Rob, welcome to the board

it sounds like either throttle cable tension is to tight or you don't have the biss set correctly.

im not sure if this applies to 1g's or the 4g61 platform but i know on a 2g that the ecu bumps up the idle via isc during coasting to prevent stalling while braking.
