Idle Surge (weird)

I have replaced the idle speed controller with another one that was tested working, and it did work for a while, than i turned off, and overnight it just went bad??? because now my car does this idle surge again, could it be my mass air sensor maybe? or some other sensor that is making it just seem like the idle speed controller isn't working?

You might want to check your FIAV (fast idle air valve).

My ecu works... it is weird becuase every month or so, the idle surges, and all i do is switch out the same two ISC's and the idle goes back to normal... anyone understand that at all???
