wavy speedo as it accelerates

hey guys im trying to figure out why my spedo needle waves a little bit up and down as the car accelerates. i tried tightening the cable where it attaches to the trans but it didnt help. has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

its probably a bad speedo cable.

you're probably gonna have to replace the cable. mine does the same thing when it's cold in the morning. it reads at like 80 or 90 and waves around while i'm actually going like 60.
