water temp gauge

It would be a good idea, since the intercooler will let less cool air flow through the radiator. When I finally get a FMIC, I'll be investing in one, and possibly slim fans and a better radiator. Get and electrical temp gauge unless you want to have coolant leaking into the passenger compartment, or mount a mechanical outside on the cowl. Same thing if you want oil pressure or fuel pressure gauges.

The piece between the windshield and the hood. You'll see drag cars with a bunch of them mounted out in front of the windshield.

I'm also interested in hooking up mine as well. As you know Defiant, I was having some cooling issues because of my FMIC blocking my rad and having the car overheat while the AC was on. When I purchased my car it had a a-piller 3pod. Amongest one of the gauges is an Autometer Water gauge, wired in to light up just as a filer, but not connected yet. So now I need to know how to hook the sucker up, I would really like to get an accurate reading of what degrees my coolant is at as a measurement. Oh and btw, I washed out the FMIC/rad, flushed coolant, and also changed the thermostat and yesterday was really hot for the first time in a year and it didnt over heat with the AC... yet. I'm not holding my breath.

Is it an electric one? Do you have the sensor and everything?

I believe it is electric, its an Autometer Ultralite series. All I've found under the hood is a long green cut wire in the engine bay that leads back to it?? It's this one:

If I do not have the sending unit or adapter and just the gauge with a wire ran, can I tie it into the stock sending unit? I don't really understand how these aftermarket ones work. I know the basic concept of the stock ones.
