Well this is a puzzle for me never had this happen:

My water pump slowly started leaking not at the O-ring where it connects to the water pipe but at the pump itself. I bought a new gasket, used a gasket sealer like recommended and even let it dry for 2 hours before I filled the coolant up. After I filled it up I happened to look under the car and saw coolant dripping. Well I figured that I forgot to tighten a bolt or something and that wasn't the case. So I took it off got another gasket and tried again with no luck again.

My questions are....
Has anyone had their water pump leak out of the bolts that hold them down?? kinda like the oil return drain tube situation?
Also the pulley is bolted up to the water pump to spin the thing inside. Does that have a seal in it not to leak as well??

The water pump is less than 2 months old from Auto Zone so it has a lifetime warranty for exchange but I wanted to ask before I pulled it off the exchange it.

Any info would be great

There's a small hole below the shaft that comes out, its about 1/16" in size, I would clean it up and get it completely dry(brake clean or regular water/towel) and see exactly where it is coming from.
