i suppose this would be the place to post this i left for 2 weeks and asked my parents to take my car out once or twice for a quick drive so it didnt sit there and when i got back i discovered they left the sunroof open during a medium rain no damage to any electronics but the upholstery is still wet... not sure if theres anything i should be worried about? opther than maybe water marks

Next time let the car sit, 2 weeks wont hurt it. Then you wouldnt of had this problem.

Try to dry whatever you can.

Leave it in the sun on a hot day with everything closed except a crack on one window. Do this until you see no more fogged windows. Obviously the earlier you do this the better. If it's damp for too long it might start smelling funky. You can try steam cleaning also.

You really don't want that mildew smell in your car, it is awful! I would probably take the seats out and let them dry in the sun, personally, because even if you leave them in the car with the window cracked, you are still holding in some of that moisture. They won't dry nearly as fast. But if you don't have the option of taking the seats out, it would work okay. Steam cleaning them would still leave them a little damp but it might dry quicker, and it would help get rid of the mildew/mold smell if you have already started smelling it.

Like everyone else said, take out the seats if possible and let them dry out in the sun. I would at least pick up a bottle of febreze and spray all the upholstery in the car. If you could bring out a hair dryer and see what you can dry to get the dampness out of the car before it starts smelling.

i did learn my lesson about letting it sit ima let someone a little more competent watch it while im gone for a month in germany... i got most of it dried out i was able to air it out today it was pretty hot and sunny, and somehow not that humid ill see what the weathers like tomorrow and then take out the seats if possible thanx for all the help ill get some febreze or something going too
