how would this be setup? the nozzle before the maft or after???

the reason i ask is because i have a friend with a srt4 who is running water injection on a stage 2, he would keep getting kicked out of high octane mode becuase the temp sensor was seeing super cool air from the h2o, it would advance timing a bunch and get a bit of knock which kicked him out of his high octane mode.

it recomends to have the nozzle between the I/C and TB but i don't think it wants you to put it to close to the TB. While the Maft has to go between the BOV and the TB where there is not much space to work with there. Would i have to move the Maft and BOV further down away from the TB so i can run the water injection nozzle further away or does it matter at all?

I've heard of alcohol injection and that needs to be used before the TB which is correct. Distance doesn't really matter. It can be on the TB elbow for all the car cares. Water injection is suppose to be sprayed into the intercooler. Never heard of spraying it into the piping. I would inject the Alcohol into the IC piping after the MAF-T.

The general rule is to put the nozzle after the GM MAS and before the TB, but as far away from the TB as possible. I did this on my install and it has been working flawlessly for months now. Also, since the install I have been able to turn up the boost to 25psi on 94 pump gas daily driven with 0 knock... It is awesome..

I placed the nozzel after the GM mas because on two different rain days my intake pulled in enough moisture to foul the GM mas up for the day till it dried out.. And NO I did not drive thru any big puddles, the mist from following traffic on the highway was enough to make it thru the filter and into the IC piping.. I could still drive normally but if I tried to boost, the car would bog. The next day after it dried out everythig was back to normal... To correct the problem I relocated the air filter back to the stock location from the old SMIC location.

Hope this help you in your install.
