So the previous owner turbocharged a 420A motor. However, I assume it has a godspeed external wastegate(I know eBay junk). However, looking at diagrams. I see some kind of regulator connected back to the wastegate. After fixing the vacuum/boost lines. It runs a lot better. However, in anything above 3rd gear. The wastegate seems like it wants to engage and the car start to shake a little, until I press on the gas even more. In the photo is where another line is supposed to go in.

Now to the photo. In the photo. This is the hole on the top part of the wastegate that is open. I assume a regulator goes to it. Is it necessary to have the regulator? Can I put a piece in their and a cap over it? I am guessing put a cap over it will eliminate the problem in the first paragraph but I am not certain.

By regulator you mean boost controller, right? I believe that port is to atmosphere, there isn't a nipple for hose. You might wanna get a vacuum pump and find out when/if the waste gate is opening.
