I purchased a Big T-28 from a guy on ebay with no shaftplay or anything couple months back. When the turbo was shipped the Wastegate Actuator was off the turbo. My question is when placing the Wastegate back on should there be tension on the flapper? I don't know how much tension should be placed on the flapper. I was going to wait until I had taken out the T25 and compare the length and tension on the T25 flapper. I have also added the picture of the Wastegate Actuator. It has the adjustable length. Any help would be appreciated. The turbo is an AGP Big T-28 and I believe the Wastegate is the FP 17psi one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Ryan

You want the most tension you can get away with, without it creeping.

Basically the more tension the better it will hold it closed so it won't leak on spool up, but by adding more tension(shortening the rod) you are reducing the amount it can open. Its best to play with it on the car.
