I put an o2 dump on my ported 14b and now i have a small problem. The wastegate flapper is not closing fully cause my dump is always lettin air out. However boost is still being regulated fine...the dump opens up fully under full boost but stays slightly open off boost. I laso logged my car and the check engine code says turbocharger wastegate. i disconnected the actuator and moved the flapper manually, it moves fine but needs to go an extra quarter inch or so to close fully. Has anyone had this problem? Should i use somethign to push the wastegate arm further to the left or could i break it? I really dont mind the xtra noise but i have to drive my parents sometimes and the turbo whistles like a truck and the car sounds like im runnin open o2 housing.

any help is appreciated.

Same thing (minus the CEL) happened when I installed my O2 dump. I ended up bending the W/G arm and bracket to preload the flapper. Still made some "poping" sounds at idle as 99.9% of mitsu turbos have cracks in the exh housing.. but sounded much better.

Amazign the diff in spool it made as more Exhaust was hitting the turbine until the preset boost level was reached...then BRRAAAAPPPP :thumb:

how did u go about bending that wastegate arm? can u take a pic to show me wat ur wastegat arm looks like now? i dont want to bend it too much. i tried slightly hittin it with the hammer but i think bending it is the only remedy. thanx alot for ur help.
