wastegate not closing!? confused!

RESOLVED I was driving and all of the sudden my car is really loud, sounds like open downpipe. I have a o2 dump on a 16g with a 14b wastegate.

When i drive, I dont even hear my wastegate open, boost gauge goes to 9-10 ish.

Its really loud, at idle it sounds like a harley! someone help me really quick!

Is the wastegate actuator arm still hooked up? Maybe it came off and the flapper door is just hanging open. If the arm is still on there try to take it off and work the flapper door by hand to see if it is getting stuck or something.

the acuator rod is still on, its loose, but i moved it back and forth and seems to be fine.

Im thinking a exhaust leak? maybe my gasket from turbo to mani is toast

Does it sound loud at idle? As in, does it sound as if the wastegate is open when at idle? You would be able to tell pretty clearly, seeing as you have an 02 dump.

SOLVED.

wastegate bit the dust, put a new one on is much better. Still loud at idle because its not closed all the way because of the **** turbo. Man i cant wait for my 60-1.
