I was looking at my wastegate and I was wondering if I'm supposed to be able to open and close the wastegate by pulling on the arm or can you not operate it maually? My wastegate actuator does not move the shaft if when I pull on the arm? I have heard of wastegates being stuck open and was wondering if this could happen to me?

It is possible to manually open the wg but it is usually pretty tough. Pressurize the actuator if you are trying to check the wg's travel.
