Wastegate mounted on o2 vs mounted on manifold

So I've been searching around the forums and can't seem to find an answer to my question. So my apologies if this has been covered already. But I'm wonder what the differences and benefits if any, are of having your wastegate mounted on your manifold or mounted on your o2?
