Hey guys,
Has anyone ever taken out their seatbelts and threw them in the washing machine?
I have a '97 Spyder with tan interior and the seat belts are absolutely filthy. I was thinking that maybe I could remove all four of them and just put the belt portion in the washing machine. What are your thoughts on this idea? When I pull the belts out pass where they “normally” pull out – they’re like brand new and that’s what I’m trying to accomplish

You might need to submerge the belt parts into a bucket filled with Full strength APC for days. Seat belts are really hard to get clean if there really stained.

Use only mild soap, not detergent. Scrub them with a sponge and do not immerse them in any cleaning solution. If you plan on using the belts in a crash, you do not want the fabric weakened nor the fibers lubricated by residue.
