Ever since I bought my 96 GST about 6 months ago the windshield washer fluid in the front never worked. I haven’t had the time to track down the problem until today. Unfortunately I found that there is a hole in the hose running from the tank in the trunk up to the engine bay. The hole I found is at the feet of the passenger seat.

Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this? I haven’t torn up the carpet yet to see how bad the hole is. Do you guys think it would be better to replace the whole line from the trunk to the engine or get some kind of joint fitting to fix the problem?

Also, I have never ripped up the carpet in a car before...is there any glue or anything holding it down that I would need to replace after I get to the hose?

Any help you guys can provide would be great...I am trying to get the car to 100% this summer and this is near the top of the list.

Thanks

is it a small hole or a big crack???? if it's just a small hole me being the cheap azz that i am would patch that sucker with some gray duct tape. (but that's coming from a guy that has a $3 UICP :p )

I say wherever that hole is just cut it and stick it into the joint fitting, and it ain't that hard to take out the carpet I mean I did it like 6 times already until I found the leak thats wetting my carpet.........

Right.
I say wherever the rip/tear/whatever is in the tubing I would just buy a small "Butt_Connector" for the tubing and then put it in and wrap that setup in duct tape.

Should be fine.
