Hey everyone, I searched and found some threads, but only for the 4g63 of which I don't believe we have the same warning intrument locations.

Does anyone have a layout or page of the 420a instrument cluster warning lights? I was driving home from work and my car randomly shut off, followed by a slight blink of a light on the top left area of the cluster. Because I was watching the road, I wasn't able to pinpoint which warning light it was.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance..

The warning lights are the same between all 2G DSM's. If your car doesn't have a particular feature, then that light simply isn't used. With that said, it was probably the battery light; that light seems to briefly flash when the car stalls.

Have you ever replaced your ECU in the past? Your situation sounds like my car when the ECU slowly deteriorated. The car would stall and the battery light would flash. It became less and less rare until I just replaced the unit.

No I haven't replaced the ECU and these stallings are getting more frequent. I don't get it, the car runs GREAT then I'll come to a light and, "brum, brum, brum, braaaa...." cars dies. I mean, it always starts back up and I could literally shred the tires directly after (no after effects) and it's all fine.

I really think it's a freak loose battery connection or my ECU.

Thanks so much for the help and reply Paul. :thumb:

I've also had this happen, but my problem was a faulty crank sensor.
