Walbro harness for a 1g

I just got a walbro 255 for my 1g used for 65 bucks. When it arrived here there was no harness. I used those insolated wire clips that you crimp on the end of the wire for the harness. Looking at the stock setup the wires are bolted and open on top of the fuel pump. I am not going to blow up am I?

The car started fine and it drove great. What a difference the walbro pump makes. I am on stock injectors a maft and a Afpr. I was having problems with fuel cut and knock at about 14 psi. My afr's where also alittle lean. I did not get a chance to log but the car pulled hard and the afrs were very good from what my wideband showed at WOT. Very happy with this mod. Time for some 650's.

If you have it wired correctly, you will not blow up. The harness just acts as plug and play, and makes things a little easier. Good luck man.!

Don't worry you won't blow up. Most in-tank fuel pumps just have bolt on connections. There is no air in the tank to feed a flame. Otherwise the spark from the pump starting to spin would blow up every car ever made with an in-tank pump. Your safe and good luck at staying non-extra crispy.
