Walbro 190 FP

I am thinking about upgrading my fuel pump to a walbro 190. I would buy from a vendor, but shipping to Canada, along with the US dollar makes it a lot more expensive. I was wondering if the 5.0 mustang fuel pump is the same? I've searched and have a hard time finding the answer.

I *believe* the mustang pump is the same flow rate, but somewhat different dimensions. I think it's a bit bigger.


Why not just buy a used one out of the classifieds? There are several for sale around $50 US.

cuz I need my car ASAP, and my auto parts store can get anything in in a day. classifies takes weeks to get shipped.

I'd go with the US EvoVIII Fuel Pump, it is a Denso 190. It flows "almost" the same as a Walbro 190 but takes more current than the Walbros. The part number of the Evo 8 pump is Denso 195130-3360.

well, they can't get that in either. so I asked them to search around for a 190 LPH pump that would work with a talon, any suggestions if the walbro from a mustang won't work (ie holley ect)

yeah, thanks for the link to VFAQ, that'll help me install, but doesn't treally answer any questions about what I'm asking (except in the VFAQ title it does say "walbro (mustang) install"). And I did search, I came up with a couple of "maybe" or "looks the same" or "just buy from a vendor". But I do appreaciate the "just search" answer .

Anyways....
I know i'm looking for a 190 LPH so it doesn't overrun my stock FPR. The big thing I am wondering is will a mustang walbro pump fit a DSM? if not, what vehicle application will? Or should I go with something like a holley pump? I need something I can get though the local autoparts store.

I got my 190 from extremepsi...I think it got to my house in 2 days.

No offence, but if you would have just ordered one on the 26th, you probably could have had it by now....

no tuners stores in the area. I live in sort of a small city. But lordco was able to find a Holley 190 lph pump and get it to me for $140. Unfortunately the problem wasn't the fuel pump. I will probably upgrade to that in the future, but for the time being, i have spark issues.

If you can return it... do it. Extremepsi can get you a Walbro 190 for $95 shipped, no tax.

I havn't bought it. and thats $95 USD about 115 CAD plus 14% sales tax (everything gets charged when it cross the boarder $131.) plus any duty fees when it crosses the border. Works out almost the same anyway.

thanks anyway. Being in Canada sorta gives you a difference perspective on what you should and shouldn't buy from the internet.
