Is a VR4 6bolt any different from a domestic 6 bolt?

I really need to know before noon tomorrow, I am going to buy a VR4 6 bolt for my 6 bolt swap, any help guys?

As far as I can tell there are no differences between the VR4 6bolt and the DSM 6bolt. There were only minor differences in intercooler routing and such between the VR4 and DSM.

There are differences if it is a JDM engine. USDM engines are the same.

If its a jdm 6 bolt keep your intake manifold. It'll say "cyclone" on it and it doesn't flow as much high end as a 1g usdm intake manifold.

Check the injectors on the motor. If they are 450's, it's the same motor. If not, I believe the motors are actually still the same (compression, pistons, rods, etc.) but the turbo and ECU vary.

Cyclone intakes are actually much better if you run them properly.

It is only a VR4 6bolt short block, nothing else. I just need to know if I can use only the VR4 bottom end for my 6 bolt swap?

pretty sure you can the vr4 galant are the exact same car.. i used a 91 gsx tranny and put it in a galant.. should be the same man..

GVR4s use the same motor, my freind has one its exactly the same.

The EVO3's has different pistons,cams(slighty),intake manifold,exhaust
mani,turbo,injectors etc


Your fine its the same spec, hope this helps you more.
