For those of you who may not know, i made a thread about running RPF1's with a BBK installed up front and what was needed to be done to run them properly. Needless to say i got tired of the massive poke up front and ended up selling them. I then had the greatest idea of running those same wheels but in 18x9.5 with 265/35/18 to have the poke look all around. :aha: Yeah..... it looked terrible! I ended up selling those. But now i think I've finally found some proper wheels that clear BBK with ease and look like tits. I give you my newly acquired Volks CE28 18x9 +35 with Hankook EVO12 245/35/18.

These wheels gave me no trouble whatsoever with fitment and even had a slight poke all around :D Everything went on like a glove and cleared my BBK like nothing. Being +35 offset i think the widest tire ill be able to run with is 255/35 without rubbing on the knuckle as im pretty close right now.

Thanks for sharing. Your car looks amazing.

I have a set of 18X9 ET35 OZ ultraleggera's. I was concerned they were not going to fit, but now I see that it seems to be the perfect rim size.

Have you seen any issue with your tires contacting the fender wells?

Tires are probably some of the best tires you can get for the price. I think they're prefect DD tires IMO.

As for the rubbing question yes I rubbed. I would only rub on bumpy roads and rub to the point that I burned the plastic inner fender. Needless today I don't rub anymore because there's nothing left LOL.
This was on springs/struts combo, I just got some feal coilsover that I'll be throwing on soon. I doubt I'll be rubbing at all with those bad boys.

The license plate mod is something I've been meaning to get at but I hardy have time
To work on this car anymore, all I do is drive it hehe.

What part of the inner fender did you rub? Is this during lock to lock or with the wheels straight? No rubbing on the fender lips, not even in the rear?

Also, in your original post you say you're running 245/35/17. You mean 245/35/18? How do you like that small of a sidewall? That size tire is also quite a bit shorter than the stock size of 215/50/17. I'm thinking of going 255/35/18 to try and keep a bit of sidewall and similar tire height to stock.

Black95TSIawd: Yeah i meant 245/35/18, FIXED. And when i say inner fender i really meant the plastic molding that is under the strut tower. It meets the lip of the fender and thats the part that i was rubbing on when hitting bumps. So, yes i was rubbing the fender lip, but not anymore LOL. Im sure on fairly new suspension i probably wouldnt have rubbed but this height was too much for these old shocks. As for the tires i love them, and find no problem with them at all.
