Im currently running a 6 bolt OFH "non forward facing", I was wondering if anyone has used the volk kit for this OFH? Is it possible? If not what is the route others have went for oil cooler that is safe?
Thanks in advance!

Assuming you mean the standard NT 6-bolt housing?

I haven’t, personally, but I don’t see why you couldn’t. I actually asked @99gst_racer about this exact situation. He mentioned he was going to look into it.

I figured using 90 degree fittings to link up with the lines to your relocation point would work just fine. Rough sketch below for illustration.

Not sure if its na or not. I emailed Volk about it but no response yet. I assumed it would but didnt know with how the ports are different from ff to standard

The housings can be used interchangeably, without considering the Volk piece. I.e., the oil still gets to the filter, the filter does its thing, and the oil returns through the center hole, back through the housing and to the rest of the engine.

All the Volk piece is doing is relocating the filter and giving you an opportunity to use an oil cooler as well.

So, the aesthetic difference between the two housings is just that. The oil is still going to get to where the filter would be the same way, except now it is routed through to the remote mounted filter, then the cooler (if applicable), and back to the adapter at the housing where it will return to the center port and back through the rest of the engine.

As I mentioned before, you would likely need to source different fittings, but I don’t expect that will be too difficult.
