when relocating the oil cooler, how are you guys running your lines, are you gettin new fittings all together or cutting the old pipes and slipping the factory tubes over them and just clamping it? that seems like it would leak so it cant be that.... dejon tool shows a good shot, that looks like thats all they did.... i'm not sure what i have to do ... and i'm puttin on my front mount on saturday so.. any help would be great ... and also the powersteering cooler i guess all i'm gona do is dump the cooler and loop it back at the resivor.. any quams with that??

I'm not going to front. That is also what I did. I had a few problems with leaking but they are all solved now. Here is a pic

Hey , Ezzard your oil feed line for the turbo is in the wrong spot . Where you have it you are sending unfiltered oil to the turbo here is the tech article on it .

well that doesn't help me all that much... and i think the 1g set up is diff from a 2g set up ... any one???

well i was thinking i could just get some brass fittings with some nipples and run a heavy hose like tranny hose, but i dunno if it would leak .. thats what i'm scarred about ... cause its some where around 50 psi isn't it.... i'm just guessing ... some one has to know how they did it ... help me out fellas

I'm still working on both the engine oil cooler, and P-S cooler. I started with the engine oil cooler but ended up with a large tubing size outlet on my cooler AN-16 bigggg! about 3/4" ID, that's just way to big a difference in size from the original hose. When I started this project I spoke with Greg Collier a friend of mine who is also on this site and has done this mod. He looked at his fittings and couldn't find the AN size he used. I'm gonna reduce my braided lines and fittings to AN-12 which is about 1/2" ID. It looks like I am using for my P-S cooler the same cooler that Agent Ezzard shows in his pix above. I'll post new pixs for the engine oil cooler and the P-S cooler setup also when I'm finished.

Here also is Greg's profile w pixs of the way he did it.

I have those sizes somewhere but I can't find them. I can find out for you on Tuesday. :thumb:

Yes those are way to large...although Greg's look to be at least AN-12. It all depends on which cooler you use and how it's set up.

I didn't get to work on the oil coolers today, I worked on my cold air box for the passenger side headlight area. pix below :laser:

"Those are faily thick lines. What are your oil pressure readings like??"

I haven't run it with these lines on. I'm switching to -12. You might ask Greg, (see my post above) but I know he's got plenty of pressure with his setup, and his are at least -12.

"Good craftsmanship on that box. What are the measurements? It seems a little large, and bulky though, but looks good enough to sell. Hope it functions."

Thanx, when I finish and check everything out and it works I'll post a set of pixs and a how to for anyone that is interested. Remember though, this setup is for doing away with the headlights. see below
