i bought an autometer ultralite used and it came with the gauge with tubing attached.

how do you T the vinyl hose into the vac hose?
is there supposed to be another brass fitting at the end of it?

go to pepboys or whatever, get you a 7/32 T Fitting and just t it between the bov and the intake mani. :thumb:

I'm kinda having the same problem with this, Bruce.

A 7/32'' fitting? How do you adapt that to the vinyl hose?

You can get a little rubber adaptor that has a hole on one end that will fit over one side of a plastic T, and a much smaller hole in the other side that the vinyl hose will fit into. Then SECURELY zip tie both sides down and check for leaks. It should work fine.

It's a little black rubber thing, about one inch long, and one side is slightly smaller than the other.

In referance to my previous post...

I was thinking about a boost controller. I think the boost gauge line is 7/32 also but not totally sure.

you need a "tee" with 2 barbed ends (for the rubber hose) and 1 threaded end for a compretion fitting (for the vinyl hose).
( to do it right )

thanks for all the input.
i'm gonna go to home depot and see if i can find a fitting for the end of the vinyl hose. if that works, i can just attach a short bit of rubber vac hose to the fitting and then T off 3 vac lines.
sounds like it would look kinda ghetto =P

either that or i'll look into the plumbing stuff and see if i can get the correct T and fitting combination for the job.

and this is one of the easier gauges to install.....

Man, i'm having the exact same problem. Did you solve it yet? How did you fix it? I was looking for a compression fitting to go on the end of the white tubing at Lowes, but they didn't have one there. Does anyone know where I can get the rubber adapter at? Or the correct compression fitting that adapts to the vac hose?

Does the vac lines have to be 7/32nd size?
