^+1. The 2g stock boost gauge is not a true gauge. It's an electrical gauge that the ECU controls by "estimating" what the boost "should be" using various sensor inputs. If nothing is wrong it's not too far off. But if you have something wrong like a boost leak or bad sensor, it can be way off. It's more for show to help sell the car and should never be used for tuning or real actual boost reading.

2g's use the mdp sensor to estimate the boost. but its better than 1g's that use the maf. gotta get an aftermarket gauge, a cheap one will work but you're probably gonna end up getting something like an autometer gauge because the cheap one just wont be accurate .

also, which hopefully somebody can help me with this. my 97 gst spyder is an automatic (for now) and im having trouble with shifting. when i first start the car it will start in first but once i get going it won't go back into first until i cut the car off again. but when i go to turn on a different road or something, it will stay in 3rd gear until i give it some gas and then it will slam down to second real hard. anybody know what the problem could be? sorry if i didnt explain real good but in in a hurry right now. i will try to clarify later if needed
