Vibrating heatshield making me crazy!!

I just installed one of JMfabrications.com polished heat shields. Well I have poly motor mounts and right around 3000-4000rpm's it vibrates like crazy. The bolts are completly tight. Its making me go crazy.

Did you see what it could be tapping against? Check and see what it could be touching to cause the vibration and bend it away from it.

I would hunt that down and fix it for sure. It has to be contacting somewhere to make that noise.

Yea the motor was hot when I looked, ill wait untill its cool and look again.

On a side note I love you car Staytuned. She is beautiful. Makes me really want a 2g talon now. Very nice car bro.

Mine used to do the same thing until I changed the allen head bolts that the heatshield comes with to metric bolts. The size is 12mm head with an 8 x 1.25 pitch. You'll want to get the motor hot and then torque them down so that they don't back out. Mine had a tendency to rattle in the front. Just free rev the motor from the throttle body while listening to where it's coming from. Also use some 12mm flat washers.
