Hey guys here is my problem. I need an expert.

car: 97 Gst With an eprom

Tunnnig: Safc

Engine: Fully built 9:1 comp. 272 cams garrett 60-1 turbo 650cc injectors all supporting mods.

Problem: The car under light acceleration will go up to 5500 rpm then sputter real bad with no load meaning standing still. At wot car will go to 6000 rpm backfire then go to redline.
When running the car wot first and second dont hook so it seems to go all the way thru the rpm range. when i hit third it will come up to 6500 rpm cut no backfire with the same feeling like if you hit the governor then wake up again go to 7000 rpm then same cut as mentioned again no backfire. then it will go to redline fourth is the same story.

Things ive tried: Boost leak test, changed coils, new cop setup, changed ecu, changed maf, changed tps, changed fp solenoid, changed knock sensor, changed map sensor, dropped the boost, dyno tuned to run perfect afr, changed plugs, changed power transistor.

Noticed: when i unplug the cam angle sensor nothing happens the car does not sputter die down it comes up on rpm rame as if it was plugged in missfire and all.

When i unplug the crank angle sensor the car dies and wont start.

The CEL im getting are the o2 sensors front and rear and the egr valve thats it no missfire code no nothing else.

I am going crazy and i dont know what else to do. please help i dont know what is left to change.

Have you checked your timing?

And second, you said you are throwing a o2 sensor code...have you replaced them? A o2 sensor can cause the car to run bad, a dying o2 will cause a drop in gas mileage along with sputter and other things. So if yours are bad it could deff be the reason.

im gonna check the timing with the gun tomorrow but it seem to be right on. heres an update though. last night its raining and i went through a puddle and my car wouldnt pass 3000 rpm with very hard hesitation any ideas?
