Very quick exhaust question

Is the stock exhaust on a 2g 2.5" ? Im thinking it is but someone said its 2.25". I bought a 2.5" test pipe and dont want to go to get it installed and look like an idiot with the wrong part.

2.25" is stock...but a 2.5" test pipe will bolt right on.

It also necks down to alot less than that in some spots. The increase I felt with a test pipe was great, hopefully it will be for you as well.

The stock exhaust is 2.25" but it is flanged with 2.5" flanges which make it possible to bolt on cat-back exhausts and test pipes.

not much at all, just improves the flow. That muffler will sound the same both ways really, might notice a little difference in tone.

thanks for the replies guys, its a good thing to hear.

I didnt manage to find a shop today and I probly wont because I dont get home from work untill 5ish, so I might have to wait untill saturday.

I hope it doesnt make it much louder, and gets me the power to where I need to be, ill let you know how it sounds when I get it on, ill try to make a sound clip.

a real boost controller helped me a lot as well, got rid of my POS home depot one (I know I didnt make it right) and it feels like much cleaner boost, so i think im almost there.
