Verifying 2g AWD and FWD starters are same?

I have read all the threads on this and the one that answers my question the most is,

That thread, and my favorite person who answers my questions "GOFER" says it'll work AFTER some other guy says it won't..

I'm leaning towards gofer saying the AWD M/T starter will work on my FWD M/T.

Is this correct? Thanks!

Yes FWD and AWD turbo/ MT starters are the same unit. I used my FWD starter after my AWD swap not a single problem.

My awd doner was A/T and I compared the starters and noticed they were different.. Auto and manuals is the only difference.. Far as I know.

Yep all manual starters are the same autos are different. Even 1g and 2g starters are the same autos have a couple different ones.
