There is a vent behind the panel in the trunk on the passengers side that goes out to the rear passengers wheel well. When I drive in rain, it flows into the trunk pretty good. What am I missing that it supposed to stop water from the wheel well to get up there?

) and now the flap thing cant shield it. I tried to bent it back but its plastic and doesnt really bend. Its like something was holding it in that position for a long time for it to hold there like that. How can I fix it?
. It does relieve pressure though. For instance, when you're driving down the highway and you close your sunroof or roll up the window, without that vent, you'll feel a slight pressure increase in your ears (the same as if you were traveling down a long steep hill). The pressure itself is harmless, but if the car is sealed up tight and at a higher pressure than outside, then getting proper ventilation is impossible, since you've essentially created a positive-pressure chamber
