Venom Intake Manifold Questions

I bought a Venom Intake Manifold for my 2g. The new Design (round)
I would have bought a Forrester or a Magnus but I got this one @ a deal NO-one here could refuse. So no FLAMING !

I was feeling the runners w/ my fingers and on every runner where the flange meets, the flange overhangs and creats a very small wall.
The runners are just a little bit bigger then the actual flange @ the welding point.

I'm guessing this isnt there for a reason and would cause excessive turbulence.

Has anyone else seen this on there's?

Also, what kind of gains should I see from this?

On my Magnus Intake they took the time to grind those ridges down smooth.

You could always just take a dremel and smooth them down if your worried.

A nice pic would help. And I think what Canadiantsi said would be more than possible to do. I would expect to see minimal gains without doing a little work to your 2G head to match intake runner to head port size.

Take a dremel and smooth them out. This is what I did and this is what my buddy did as well. If you do that it'll work just fine. Good luck.

You would think for a $600 Manifold you wouldnt have to do that... thank god I didnt pay that much!

I'm hoping to see alot of top end out of this, I put a 1g TB on my car about 2 weeks ago thinking it wouldnt make hardly any difference. But when I ran my car after that WOW, best mod i've done.....
