I have a built 2.4 liter engine with no balance shafts and I'm afraid my oil pressure is too high. I bought a VDO 150psi gauge from Summit and connected it according to the directions included but it does not work. As soon as power is applied to the gauge the needle immediately spikes above 150psi regardless of whether or not I have the signal wire connected. I contacted VDO support and the suggested that the gauge was bad so I contacted Summit and they sent me a new one, but it does the exact same thing. Any idea what might cause this?
