Oil Pressure Gauge

ive look the forums for a long time now, cant find anything overly usefull, well ig ot my glowshift gauges in last night and i went to put the oil pressure sender thing in replace of my stock one, the threads are different? i T'd the wire to my stock one but it just reads 100psi because of there beign no ground on the stock one. is there any other way i can do this?

Glowshift does not send the required accessories to make all of their gauges work when they ship them. In order to make the oil pressure gauge function you will need the adapter I linked below. The adapter will replace the stock unit. The thread pattern is 1/8" NPT, but I didn't see that listed browsing through the site. You will have to purchase a vehicle specific one.

You could attempt to ground the sensor itself. I'm not too familiar with the glowshift oil pressure gauges, I like my autometer series. A little google research may be in order.

i thought i saw you could T it into the stock one. but maybe not , theres a load of plugs around the stock oil filter i was going to see if it would thread into any of them

Be careful with the threads. From what little experience I do have with the glowshift gauges the adapters and fittings seem to be somewhat cheap. Don't get yourself in a bind trying to force something that doesn't belong. Good luck, though.
