Valve Spring Help for comp 101300

Hello.
I purchased some cams off a buddy of mine under the assumption they where only comp 101200 (272) but after looking up the grind code i have come to find out that they are comp 101300 (280's!!!). I only paid 100 bucks so im not complaining but my question is what springs should i run? Im trying to keep it cheap so i was thinking running bc1100's and use the stock seats and retainers or is that not gonna work?

From this it looks like they are 258's

With a lift of I .411/ E .395

The BC1100 springs ( when installed properly) will be just fine with these cams

Hey thanks for the response. I called them 280s because whenever I searched for them on tuners people say they are the equivalent to a 280 cam . I called comp and they said I do need springs so thanks for letting me know the bc1100 will work fine!!! Guess I should go buy some

Can I keep stock retainers and seats or should I go for titanium retainers too

If thtas all the cam you intend to run, the stock retainers will be fine.

If you have the cash and just want to have Ti retainers, get them.

The BC1100 spring work just fine with stock retainers.

Do you know how to set up valve springs?

I have never done them myself. I was actually just gonna have the machine shop put them in because I'm having them go over the head. I'm putting the car together, starting with a shell so I need the head machined anyways.

Well make sure they have a way to check installed height on the 4g Head, most typical measuring tools will not fit.

The machine shop I'm taking the head and block to have a lot of experience with 4g63's but ill make sure to ask. Thanks again for all the help!!
