Valve knock

My car was idleing before and i started to hear a knocking sound near the valve cover. Does this seam like valve knock, and if so what is it. How bad is it, is it easy to fix, and would it be ok to run my car with it if it is it?

If you are hearing a TICK TICK TICK TICK then it is your lifters. The only way to completely solve the noise is to get 3rd gen lifters installed. It won't hurt anything, it is just very annoying.

If it is the tick tick tick tick, put a can of "Restorer" (available at Walmart) into the oil. Clears it right up and even Defiant himself approves of it!

like states above go to walmart and try that sh*t out. Ive used it before on my daily driver and it helped somewhat, if it doesnt dont sweat it 3g lifters are cheap and easy to find.

This is a good solution as well as Lucas Oil Stabilizer. BUT, it only quiets it down and will have to be replaced at every oil change. If you want a permanant fix, get the 3G lifters installed.
