valve cover problem

Hello again, went to do a simple valve gasket change on my 97 gst spyderand found that a previous owner used gasket sealant ,silver ?can't get the cover off and I'm trying not to damage it. Any suggestions? Thanks

Try tapping edges softly with a rubber hammer

if that doesn't work use a razor blade.

Or a block of wood and a regular hammer, Tap on corners!

I've tried this with noluck I'm going to try to cut the gasket. Surgery time

They probably used grey right stuff. Works too well. Run the car for a few minutes with the bolts out of the vc, then try to tap around with a block and hammer, then gently pry with a thin scraper from the corners.

Thanks for everyones help I got it off. I had to do some cutting and tapping and she finally came lose. Thanks for all the help!
