Well, Im trying to diagnos and idle problem. I've tested everything there is to test but anyways...

I have a 3 inch intake with no lines for the vc vent and the charcole canister. Now, on my logger when i have the stock intake on my fuel trims are fine, all right around 100%. When i put the intake on, my low fuel trim goes maxed to 139%, and the afc doesnt move it, no matter how much fuel i go up or down. I've plugged that line and the o2 trim shoots way up to like 160% and higher, but eventually the fuel trim settles at 139%.

So Im wondering if maybe there is something wrong with my charcole canister or the solenoid for it. Im pretty sure the vacumm lines are hooked up correctly. Will this system on the car cause any wierd problems like that?

idles very rough at 10inHg, fixed all the idle leaks and ISC and everything else that could make it idle funny on it.

I'm really just looking for more info on the charcole canister system, or whatever u call it, or even how u spell it :p

i want to fix this thing damnit, help me!!! :thumb:

I really dont see how the intake would have that kinda affect on your fuel trims but anyway, referring to the charcoal canister you can just eliminate it. You dont need it. They really dont provide for anything useful. Dont know what for mods you got but try to tune it afterwards and see what happens :talon:

how do i eliminate it? just cap the lines going to the solenoid? and take the stuff out?

well, i've capped it off, and soon im going to completely remove the system. still didnt fix my problem yet. last thing to check in the engine timing...after i get the timing belt and such...i'll see

this dsm has been a diagnosing experience

The fuel trims are more responsive when you first start the car. But on a side note your fuel trims will change from day to day depending on the driving conditions. There not the same everyday :talon:
