Ive been slowly dialing in my unit with this Key diver chip and my SAFC and i had a couple of tuning questions on my mind.

first, my chip is a stage 3 comped for 550s and on my Hi settings im in the +19 to +22 range to get .92 on the 02 with 0 to 5 on the knock count. Is anybody else having to do this? it seems alittle different than what ive see in other applications.
just wondering if im doing somthing wrong.

Second, im thinking about getting more serious with my fuel system. i dont have my 190 hardwired (heard it was a bad thing) and i have no FPR. im just using a B16 right now but looking to tune the s##t out of it before upgading to lager turbo.

if you are adding that much fuel, something is wrong. Send Jeff an email, hes a good guy and can help you out. Maybe the chip was made for 660s or something by misstake.

Maybe you have a boost leak, and unmetered air is getting in, so you have to add fuel (air). make sure everything is tight.

I have a stage three set for my specific car configuration and I have to remove over 25% fuel from 3000-7500 RPM to get my fuel trim around 100. Of course I have an aftermarket fuel filter, so that may affect my fuel curve. High throttle maps are pretty close to 0.

Try starting over, zeroing out the settings you have now. I ran an Evo 16g with 20psi with 550's and the stage 3 chip on my car and I had it leaned out 7% from 3500 to 7000rpm. You might be pig rich. The best way to really figure this out is to either get a dyno'd or get a wideband o2 of your own (or borrow one if you know someone with one!).

As for the fuel system, rewire the fuel pump and get a FPR. You'll definitely need the FPR, no doubt about that. You'll need it especially when you rewire the fuel pump.

Good luck with tuning! :)

my stage 3 chip is on its way  i dont think you should have to add fuel at all. seeing as how it was made for your 550's. something is wrong. if anything u should be subtracting on the safc leaning it out till u see knock. :dsm:

im ordering my stage 3 chip this week too what did you guys choose for settings (rev limiter and what not?)

when you guys get these, how rich does the car usually run with the base setting in the chip without any other tuning

Usually people are running an upgraded pump if they have upgraded injectors, so its hard to say. If you have big injectors, a pump, and an AFPR to keep the base pressure under control, the keydiver chip will make the car run great.

Indeed my fuel trims are at 139 and i may be running a little rich. ill probably have to start over and pay a little more attetion to the Lo throttle and ill probably find that on the Hi throttle ill need less fuel.
thanks for the reply!
