URGENT: Anyone that has switched their Fuel Filter

Can someone that has switched their fuel filter out no a 2g talon please text/call me ASAP? I need to get this changed very soon because I need my car to be running. Just PM me for my number. Thanks

If it's like the 1g, it's a 19mm for the banjo on top and a 14mm on the line at the bottom of the filter

+1 and typically pretty easy to do since those fitting dont typically see much weather and dont get rusted.

There is a mount for it also and that is a 13mm to pull the filter and mount off. Then there is the part that holds the filter in the mount which is a 10mm.

Ok thanks. That's the main problem I'm having is getting the lines off of it. I can't find the right wrench to use but I'll try those two.

YOu must use a line wrench aka a flare wrench. A regular open ended wrench will destroy these fittings. Be careful, they can be a bear to get off bu with the proper tools you shouldn't be able to strip them out.

You should use a flare nut wrench instead of a regular open end. On my filter those lines were damn hard to get off. The old filter began to crush before the fittings broke free.

If they are tight use another 19mm on the neck of the fuel filter so u dont ruin the bolt or line, and it gives u extra leverage

odd. I changed the filter on the 1990 gsx i just got recently. Doing all the maintenance. And the filter was stock with 182k on the od. Came off pretty easy but, I suppose it depends on the location and weather you live in.
