Here's a stupid question, and I think I know the answer. If my car is idling at normal operating temperature and I can lay my hand on the upper radiator hose due to it being no more than warm....this is not right, right?

Positive? I was almost sure that the hot coolant flowed out of the engine through the upper hose.

Hot coolant does return through the upper, but you should still be able to touch it and not singe your hand.

i dont know about that, i would'nt want to touch the upper hose for more than like .02 seconds, it gets pretty hot normally. :dsm:

Hot Coolant comes out of the engine via the top radiator hose and through the radiator then back into the engine through the bottom radiator hose. The top hose will be hot as hek if you have been running your car for any length of time over 15 minutes.
