Upper Ball Joint Compatibility

Hello Everyone,

First off I am having some noises coming from one of the ball joints on the driver's side of my 95 Eclipse GSX. Since the recall will replace the lowers, I would like to replace the upper of the driver's side only to see if that will solve the problem.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew what other cars i can draw the upper ball joint from. I know that I can get it off of other GSX's and TSi's but can I also get it from RS and GS Eclipses and Talons? Can I get it off of a 1g or am I restricted to scraping parts from 2g's? Thanks for any help

Um, asking whether you can use the upper front balljoint off a 1G is kind of silly. Someday you will realize why, smack your forehead, and say "doh!"

You can use the upper arm from any 2G.
