Upgrading/Replacing clutch

Ok so I really don't know anything about clutches but I know mine needs replaced. This car is a daily driver and will probably never see a track. I'm a married family man with children but this is going to be my money pit toy. My plan is to get my 99 spyder to as close to 500HP as possible when all is said and done. This will be driven daily in town and on highway. I'm trying to decide which clutch kit or combination will be best suited for my car. I'm not sure what all the stage 2,3,4 stuff exactly means but I just want it to handle my hopefully 500HP in the end. Is there anyone who could give me their best advice and opinions on brands and reasons why? I don't want to end up with a clutch I can barely push to the floor. My knees aren't the greatest shape in my old age. Thanks for your time!

A 2100pp and a sprung 6 puck will do what you need, easy on the leg and should hold about 450 ft/lbs.

Although a 500hp goal in SOHC 2.4 is a long reach. you will need to swap to a DOHC and build the bottom end or swap in a turbo engine.

Is that what you typically run on your spyder? Also, my GS will undoubtedly need a transmission swap once I turbo my car, question, will the combination you recommended work on both my stock transmission and the turbo transmission when I do the swap? Thanks for your help.

Yes I plan on swapping to DOHC and building bottom end. Thanks for the advice.

Yes the clutch setup is the same for the F5M31 and F5M33 turbo trans.

Another good upgrade for the GS that i have NEVER seen mentioned is swapping the clutch pedal for turbo model clutch pedal. I have personally done this swap and can say the GS pedal is like a paper clip compared to the turbo pedal.

Wow that's something that I never thought of. Is this hard to swap out? Were just talking about the actual pedal itself right?

Yes the pedal assembly itself its 2 or 3 bolts IIRC kinda a pain to get to if your a bit bigger than average.
I had a picture of how puny the gs pedal was compared to the turbo pedal just gotta find it.
