So i dont know when the last timing belt or any maintenance was done last, car has 88k miles. My goals are for a super street 400whp machine, i plan on having JusMX build me a Bastard 20g (TD06). When i have my timing belt/60k service, what all should i have them do while doing everything entailed? Would it be wise to have them also do the HG, 3g lifters, and possibly new cams? Just want to make sure i upgrade all parts that make sense as they do a full 60k service. Any Thoughts?

Don't forget a new hyd tensioner & bearings/pulleys and water pump. Do a balance shaft elimination kit while you're in there.

I wouldn't worry about the HG for that HP with that low mileage motor. Throw in some ARP headstuds and call it a day.

I would first read the upgrade path its broad area to start once that's done look at other builds set a goal for yourself and learn about what your getting and why. I see you have some questions, everything your unsure of replace. tuning what are you using, why new cams ask yourself some questions, drivetrain, wideband and such look into what those are used for, and when to get them.

Thanks for the replies. THis is my second DSM btw, i had a 16g with supporting mods i did all myself in the previous car and everything ran awesome. I guess more specifically: Would it be easier for them to do the head studs and revised lifters while i take it in for the timing belt/60k service? Or does it not make a difference in labor to do it separate?

If you are doing lifters also, then it might be a little cheaper altogether since the correct way to change them is to remove the timing belt and cams.

If you were wanting to get cams, then that would be the time to upgrade them as well. Some 272s would pair nicely with a 20g. While you're in there you might as well get upgraded valve springs. The stock ones tend to be worn with age, but yours are probably less worn with that low of miles. It can get a little out of control with the "while you're in there" mentality. You'll end up with a built motor if you don't reign yourself in! :D
