Upgrade path

Please help me,

I sold my gsx because now I am a college student and I needed a car that can get really good mpg, so build up a veggie VW Jetta TDI. I am thinking after college I want to continue my hobby of working on cars. I am thinking of getting an Eclipse again. Only this time I want to work on a 6g72. This means that I'm looking a 3g Eclipse gt.. I am really having trouble finding an upgrade path that includes using a stand alone ecu and running boost.

Please help me by providing an upgrade path for a 3g Eclipse gt so I can see what I would be getting into.

Also a random question.... Will the DOHC 6g72 motor fit in place of the SOHC 6g72 that comes in the Eclipse gt?????

I think club3g is that way > You will not get much more than intense hate of 3gs from dsm owners.

Anything is possible with some money and ambition. You can put a 4g63 in a civic so why not a dohc motor where a sohc is normally? Hell, put a 4g63 in there, just a matter of wiring and motor mounts/axles really.
