I purchased my 92TSi about a 2 months ago from a tow yard. I found out over the last 2 months that is has a 16g turbo, 3in exhaust and a MBC. It needed a new head so I installed a port and polished head along with dejon blow-thru plumbing an MAF and MAF-T, and a boost guage. I installed the boost guage about 3 weeks after I installed the other items, when I am driving the car, the boost guage will go up to 30PSI :D untill I feel a fuel cut or something around 5-6k RPM's. My question is i thought the stock system could only handle up to 16psi. do you think the fuel system is upgraded, or is my boost guage not good. its brand new and i installed t following the instruction on this site. Thanks in advance.

If you have a 16g on the car most likely you have boostcreep in other words your wastegate isnt flowing out enough air to control your boost therefore it increases which means you're detonating the f*** out of your engine. This boostcreep can be cured by either porting or install an external wastegate. You can still drive the car just dont let boost pass 15psi otherwise you'll be rebuilding preetty soon.

In the DIY the a post called " How to cure boostcreep by porting" by cadillac2000
you might want to give it a shot

There must be some sort of fuel system upgrade. Turn the boost down to a safe level like 18 or 21 psi. Also check to make sure you don't have any boost leaks(ie: didn't blow some hoses).

take some pics of the injectors , take the ecu out check if it has being chipped , you didnt say nothing about seeing a afpr but woulnt hurt to check what kind of fuel pump you have right now

You say you installed the boost controller as the directions stated, but I am curious where you sourced the line for the gauge.

Thanks Everyone for your input, especially MARCMSJ who helped me out alot locally. I now have the boost under 18 PSi by hookin the wastegate to the j-pipe. I will run this way untill I get some datalooging and a new Boost Controller. :thumb:
