Tonight I blew my alternator fuse when I was hooking back up my battery. I tryed to use a single wire to temporally fix (stupid I know) the problem till I can get the fuse from mitsu tommorw. It didn't work out to well. I'm not getting full power to my alternator ( Because of the rewire) but would this cause the car to die after you rev it and miss at RPM above 3500 or do you think I have a problem with my newly installed full pump??

What type fuel pump did you install and why? Was it a larger pump? If so it could be causing you to run rich causing the sputter/missing. Have you checked your bat. voltage with the car running? Obviously you did something because you said it is not getting full power but what did you do to determine this? Give a little more info. so someone can help.

I installed a 255 pump and had to run a new fuel line due to the corrosion of the line connectors. I dint know that I'm not getting full power from the battery. I'm just assuming this because my car starts to stall out when you rev it and you have to keep on the gas so it does not stall out when at stop signs.

i have a 255.. i took it to the dyno because i wanted them to lean out my car.. they couldnt.. so i install a AFPR that leaned it out a fair bit.. its always recommeded to install a FPR when u got a bigger fuel pump.. its over running your stock one..

maybe its getting to much gas so its bogging down your car?

Is there a CEL? Yes you can flood your motor with fuel. (You'll smell fuel in your oil)

If you had a 255 without anything to regulate the flow of fuel then that's your problem. You'll need to turn down the juice.

I agree. I installed 255 pump and 550 injectors on mine and had the same problem until I could get my SAFC installed. It would almost always die if I revved it up to 3 or 4k or just clutched it to stop. I would say that your alternator wiring is a different problem altogether.
