im looking for i what i think is called a undercarriage its a plastic piece that covers the bottom of your engine. and protects it from getting dirty. is there such a thing on these cars ### it seems like my oil lines that run right next to my oil filter are hanging down way to low. and they should be protected. Any thouhgts?

There are no stock undertrays for DSM's, and I have never seen an aftermarket one that I can remember for sale. I would say they are more for function to. You'd have to fabricate one or if you don't like it getting dirty under there do what I do and take her out once a month on non rainy days and keep her on clean roads.

There is a lower splash shield seen in many Eclipse parts diagrams but according to my resources that part was never actually produced for the 2G Eclipse. I've never found it in CAPS nor have I ever seen a part number of any sort.

From the looks of it, Part # 3 was designed to mate the front bumper with the radiator support. Nothing beyond that. They must have figured it was overkill since the plastic ducting for the radiator/AC meets right up with the bumper anyways. Interesting find Dave, I haven't seen such a thing.

You might want to consider a universal splitter from APR Performance.
It'll add an aggressive look, increase the down force in the front, and provide better engine cooling.
