Ok guys, I have plenty of time..my motor is currently being rebuilt AGAIN..all thanks to my little brother. Now I was wondering what you 420A guys did to help make your engine bay look clean. I am all about performance but I want a nice lookin engine bay I already have the EGR blocked off and all the lines gone. So what other things have you done. Please post pics...as for doing a search either for pics or posts dont have time got my daughter and I am headin out right now. Thanks

hey... the first thing i did was go to autozone and buy a car of undercoating... this is what is used to spray the insides of your engine bay (the sell black gloss as well as flat) and i sprayed the whole engine bay in order to get the bay all black and shinny... then i took out all the parts that i could (such as the cam gears, intake manifold, turbo manifold, tubing) and got it powder coated.. this gives the engine the much needed accent and also pulls attention away from the "dirtier spots" that might show up... finally i bought rubber hosing rather than the wire loom because that stuff just falls apart, and ran all my wires inside the hose... that is after i took a razor blade and put a split in the hose so that the wires are easily accessed..

Whats a good way to clean the engine bay without disassembling everything, or atleast without spray painting it. Like what cleaners are good to make everything look nice.

actually what i have found to clean just about everything under the hood the best is tire foam... not black magic or whatever but the regular tire foam that just cleans the tire, doesnt shine... this will make everything shinny and wont look greasy... just take the can shake and spray it over everything under the engine, and i mean everything.... take a rag about 5 minutes maybe less later and wipe down all the hoses and black stuff... such as the radiator hoses... then just let the rest dry... after its all dry spray with a hose if you want and you are done... looks awesome.. thats what i use for mine at every car show i attend... so far in 7 shows i have 2 firsts and a second...
